Union Thunder Seals Win with Overtime Goals

The Union Thunder pulled out an exciting win on Wednesday night after three late-game goals lead to a 7-5 victory over the Nassau County Lions. In the third period, Peter Drouzas put the Lions on the board first with his fourth goal of the night, and Jaden Garcia followed with a goal to tie up the game at 5-5. Back-to-back goals by Elias Gruszecki and Rokas Baliukonis shifted the momentum in Union Thunders favor. Gruszeckis second goal of the night and Baliukonis game winning goal extended Union Thunders lead to two goals. Jacob Shpitofsky and Patrick Huszcza both scored in the final minutes to secure a win for Union Thunder. Ethan Weissbard, Samuel Rubinshteyn, John Lawler, Ryan Skotarczak, and Reese Icklan contributed assists throughout the game.
