Woodbridge Wolfpack Wins Thriller Against Long Beach Lightning

The Woodbridge Wolfpack pulled out a thrilling 7-4 victory over the Long Beach Lightning on Tuesday night after a heart-pounding contest. In the fi rst period, Jason Bizgu put the Wolfpack on the board first with an unassisted goal at 1:09:03. Gunnar Lahey quickly responded for Long Beach with an assist from Kaiden Eichin and Blake Cohen making it 1-1 after one. In the second period, Kaiden Eichin scored his first of two goals of the night to give Long Beach a 2-1 lead. Jason Bizgu then responded with help from Matthew Yakymenko to tie up the score. Anthony Lamanna took back control shortly after to make it 3-2 in favor of the Lightning. However, Idris Ouzidane soon evened up the score at 3 goals apiece with an unassisted goal of his own late in the second period. In the third and final frame, Ouzidane added another goal with an assist from Nico Simoes to take a 4-3 lead before Kaiden Eichin tied up the score yet again for Long Beach. With only 1 minute remaining in regulation, Blake Cohen secured a one goal lead for Woodbridge through hard work and an assist from William Gallinaro that would prove to be too much for Long Beach to overcome as they fell 4-7 in this exciting game!
