Successful Hockey Game Sees Long Beach Lightning - 12U Gold and Long Island Edge Tie

The hockey game between the Long Beach Lightning - 12U Gold and the Long Island Edge ended in a tie, 4-4. Luca Petrone led the way for the Lighting with two goals, while Liam Moloney scored twice for the Edge. Luca Petrone (22 goals) opened up the scoring for the Lighting in the first period, with Chase Oliverio assisting. Liam Moloney (now 12 goals) scored soon after for the Edge, with Joseph Marian getting an assist. Oliver Feinstein (now 7 goals) scored next for Long Beach, assisted by Jasper Jones bringing them to a 2-1 lead. The next goal was scored by Joseph Marian (now 5 goals), with Peter Weston getting an assist. Luca Petrone then got his second goal of the game to make it 3-2 at halftime. In the second period Paxon Lombardo (21 goals) kept it alive for Long Beach, as Jack Wheeler (7 assists) was able to secure an assist. Liam Moloney then stole back a draw at 4-3 with his third goal of the game being unassisted, before Peter Weston evened it out at 4 apiece with Nicholas Xidias getting an assist on that play.
