The Long Island Mustangs and the Long Beach Lightning battled it out in an intense matchup that was ultimately decided by f our goals. Jake Diguisppe, who scored 3 goals before the start of the game, tallied another goal early in Period 1 to give the Mustange a 1-0 lead. However, the Lighting answered soon after, with Brooklyn Mulligan connecting to tie up the game. Timothy OSullivan and Anthony Scarcella found success soon after, as Scarletlas goal marked the third for Long Beach and gave them a 2-1 lead heading into Period 2. The Mustangs would answer early in Period 2, as Zachary Kasyjanski put his team on top with an assist from Alexander Goodenough. With solid defense from both teams, neither was able to put across any more goals and the Mustangs won 3-2.
