The Ridgefield Lions 10U hockey team emerged victorious in a thrilling 4-1 game against the NYC Cyclones. James Rudd opened up the scoring just sev en seconds into the first period and was later assisted by Tyler Lawrence. John Kelly followed suit with a goal of his own and was the hero of the night, netting a second period power play goal for his first career hat-trick, as well as the game-winning tally. The Cyclones Braden Yard notched one in the third period to prevent a shutout while an empty net caused by Tucker Rekows goal late in regulation sealed the game for Ridgefield. This win marks a huge milestone for this squad, with their first ever victory over their Manhattan rivals.
