The New York Apple Core and the Nassau County Lions faced off in a thrilling hockey game Tuesday, with the Apple Core pulling off a win in overtime . Despite a back and forth battle throughout, it was New Yorks Dylan Boening that sealed the victory for the Apple Core with his game-winning goal at the 4:03:20 mark of overtime. Ryan Nichols put the first point on the board for the Apple Core with a goal at 1:10:45 in period one and was assisted by Aidan Fleming (1 total assist) and Luke O’Hara (2 total assists). The Nassau County Lions answered back with goals from Jeremy Zawitosky (5 total goals) at 2;10:21 and Michael Oliveiro (2 total goals) at 2:12:50, both assisted by Joseph Corso (4 total assists) and Evan Friedman-Ogino (3 total assists). After two periods of intense play, neither team had managed to pull ahead, but a single goal from Dylan Boening sealed victory for New York.
