Long Island Edge Wins 6-5 Over Hudson Valley Polar Bears

The Long Island Edge came out victorious in their matchup against the Hudson Valley Polar Bears in a close 6-5 game. The first period saw Sam Carro zzo score two goals to put the Edge up 2-0 going into the first intermission. Sam Carrozzo struck again early in the second period to give himself a hat trick and put his team up 3-0.

The Polar Bears responded with a goal from Brenden Gilooly but another quick goal from Matteo Vinci sparked a three goal scoring streak for the Edge and pushed their lead to 6-1 late in the second period. The Polar Bears then launched one last rally, scoring four more goals, but it wasnt enough as the Long Island team was able to hold on for their victory. Thomas Chun and T.J Salvato were credited with assists on two of the Edges goals while Wilson Speller recorded an assist for Hudson Valleys goal.
