The Long Island Edge had an impressive win against the NYC Skyliners in their recent hockey match. The Edge got goals from Kendrick Williams, Micha el Kim and Andi Lefkowitz to seal the victory.
Williams started the scoring with a goal just one minute into the game, giving him his 26th of the season. Later in the period, Kim finished off a play assisted by Chase Tam to put his team ahead 2-0. Into the second period, Williams notched one more goal on a solo effort and Lefkowitz added another shortly after, extending Long Islands lead to 4-0.
Though the Skyliners managed to get one past Edge goalie Ethan Brooks in the third period, it wasnt enough to spark a miraculous comeback attempt as Kim answered shortly after with another goal off an assist from Lefkowitz.
In total, Williams recorded three points on two goals and an assist for Long Island while Kim was close behind with two goals and an assist for three points as well. Lefkowitz wasnt far behind tallying two assists on top of her own goal for 3 points. The win marks a great start to new Edge head coach Chase Tams tenure as they look forward to their next match later this week!
