The Lightning scored the game-winning goal at 4:01 in the first overtime period when Andrew Doheny put one past the goalie off an assist from Preston Strouse. This was Dohenys second goal of the night, giving him a total of 15 goals for the season before entering this game.

John McKenna got things going in the first period when he netted his 12th goal of the season at 1:06, giving Long Beach a 1-0 lead. Owen Bertoli and Michael Crivello scored for Princeton to tie it up halfway through the second period.

Andrew Doheny added another goal soon after and Kennedy Cavanaugh had one as well to set up a wild ending. Leonard Gandolfo and Sydney Nutt both scored power play goals for Princeton to tie it 3-3 heading into overtime.

Ultimately, Andrew Doheny was the hero on this night, scoring his fourth goal of the game to secure a victory for Long Beach!
