The Genesis Hockey Club had an exciting overtime during a hockey game against the Loudoun Knights. In the first period, Cole Schwartz, Paul Osada, and Harris Hunsberger all scored goals for the Genesis Hockey Club. Payson Vincent, Thomas Sprague, and Liam Kuzmick all contributed assists in the opening period to help the team take a 3-0 lead.
Blake Berger and Colin Haddad each scored goals for the Knights in the first period to make it 3-2 at the end of one. In the second period, Travis Ribikauskas scored twice with assists from Ryan Patenaude and Justin Dinsmore. Paul Osada also tallied another goal for Genesis to give them a comfortable 6-2 lead going into halftime.
The Knights would rally with two goals in the second half from Colin Haddad and Blake Berger but it was too little too late as Cole Schwartz added one more goal for Genesis late in regulation to put them ahead 8-6 and secure them the win. It was an exciting finish for Genesis Hockey Club as they come away victorious 8-6.
