– 14U Gold in Hockey Thriller
The Delco Phantoms - Sullivan of Pennsylvania narrowly defeated the Springfield - 14U Gold in an exciting matchup on Tuesday night. The final score was 8-3, but the victory did not come easily.
In the second period, Lucas Raum secured the Phantoms first goal—a power-play shot assisted by Quinn Winters—and Sean Barth and Christopher McShane followed with shorthanded and even strength goals to make it 3-0.
Springfield finally managed to break through late in the third period with three unanswered goals from A Dolan, A Stellings, A Eppenson and R Trivarelli with the assist from E Trivarelli.
But Delco refused to let up and regained their momentum thanks to Kale Falgowski, Braden Berry and Joey Brennan’s power play goal. To secure their supremacy on the ice, Jonathan Sullivan netted an additional goal making it 8-3 at last whistle.
The win marks yet another victory for Delco Phantom – Sullivan as they pursue a spot in the playoffs.
