Toms River Blackhawks Win 8-1

The Toms River Blackhawks handily defeated the Snider Hockey team on Saturday with a score of 8-1. Giovanni Scaglia, Andrew Buda, Dylan Vowteras an d Connor Simonson each scored a goal for the Blackhawks, plus Joseph Taliercio and Colin Costello rounded out the scoring with one goal each. Jack Farlekas, Thomas Gaccio and John Dixon both contributed assists for the winning team. The Blackhawks took an early lead in first period when Giovanni Scaglia scored his fifth goal of the game and Andrew Buda followed with his second of the game to make it 2-0 going into the end of Period 1. The momentum continued into Period 2 as Chris Caputa scored their only goal of the game with a power play at 16:33 left in Period 2. The Blackhawks then went on to add five more goals over the remainder of the period (Zacharie Michel added an assist on one), ending with an 8-1 victory.
