North Park has claimed a victory at their hockey game on Monday night, overcoming the Long Island Whalers by a score of 5-6. The team g ot off to a great start in the first period with William Elitt scoring their first goal at 1:09:11. They then quickly built their momentum, accounting for two more goals from Leighton Vargas and William Elitt, before the close of period two. The whalers retaliated with goals from Nicholas Newman and Frankie Dalto in period two, however it was not enough as Henry Tansill scored an emphatic shorthanded goal to win the game for North Park. Willem Vlak, Thomas Cernan and Henry Deutsch rounded out the scoring with a goal each in period three as North Park celebrated their success.
