Red Bank Generals Secure Comeback Win

The hotly contested hockey game between the Reston Raiders and the Red Bank Generals ended in an exciting comeback win for the Generals. The Raider s, who scored first and maintained a steady lead throughout most of the game, were on top 4-3 at the start of the second period. However, the tide began to turn when Justin Ferlanti scored for the Generals just over two minutes into the period to level the score. Drew Jarkowsky followed Ferlantis goal with a power play goal soon after to put Red Bank back in front, and Brandon Gronau sealed their victory with a goal that was also assisted by Lucas Campos and Jack Cella. For their part, Reston was unable to match their opponents scoring in the second period, though they managed to find some offense late in the frame thanks to Carson Breissinger and Matthew Reinke. The Red Bank Generals 6-4 win completed a thrilling takeover of what had been an otherwise uneventful game for them.
