Princeton Youth 13U hockey team knocked off the Red Bank Generals 12U Gold 2 in a thrilling matchup on Tuesday. Emma Barradon started things off fo r Princeton with a goal at the 1:01:06 mark of the first period. Andrei Lumezanu added one just over 10 minutes later to make it a 2-0 game, and CJ Gerry sealed the game with a goal late in the opening frame.
Things were more tightly contested in period two as both teams scored three times. Lumezanu and Austin Yasher each netted goals for Princeton while Ryan Batcha and Trafton (Parker) Schaub also found their way onto the score sheet. Kyle Livingston had Red Bank Golds lone goal in period two while Luca Vernieri registered an assist on his screamer.
The last period proved to produce no further goals despite several close calls, leaving Princeton Youth with the 6-1 victory over Red Bank Generals and a place to remember as they cap off their season.
