The New York Stars defeated the Delco Phantoms 3-2 in an intense overtime thriller. Christopher Magliulos powerplay goal with 36 seconds left in th e extra frame sealed the victory for New York.
In the first period, Nolan Stott and Joey DiFabritiis scored for Delco to put them up by two goals, but Jason Radu, James Nicolaaidis, and John McCarthy Jr. netted three unanswered goals for the Stars to bring them within 1 before periods end.
Coming out of halftime, John McCarthy Jr. scored his second of the day once again tying the game. The teams were locked until overtime until Christopher Magliulos goal with just 36 seconds left vaulted New York to their first victory of the season.
