The Long Beach Lightning hockey team claimed victory in a thrilling game on Saturday. The teams battled to a 5 - 1 lead for the Lightning, with And rew Doheny paving the way with two goals and an assist. Preston Strouse and Zachary Siegel also contributed assists. Meanwhile, Connor Quigleys first period goal was all that could be mustered from the Toms River Blackhawks. Mason Castagliola and Kenneth Cavanaugh each also had a goal each to round out the scoring. It was no surprise when Cavanaughs second goal, which was an empty-net goal, sealed the victory for the Lightning.
