Genesis Hockey Club Comes From Behind for Victory

The Genesis Hockey Club pulsated with momentum Thursday night after an epic come-from-behind win.

The game got off to a sluggish start, but Gene sis quickly picked up the pace with four goals in the first period. Elliott Schmidt scored the teams first goal unassisted at 1:00:47, followed by Evan Sieglers goal at 1:03:00 that was assisted by Matteo Vecchione. Cole Detweiler and Owen Roth added two more goals later in the period to give Genesis a 4-0 lead going into the second.

In the second period, Pierce Miller extended the lead to 5-0 when he scored unassisted off of a pass from Eric Curtis Jr at 2:01:10. However, the NYC Cyclones made an impressive comeback and answered back with four consecutive goals to even out the score heading into the third period.

Determined to get the win, Genesis scored one more goal in the final period when Andrew Smith executed a breakaway and landed his shot in net at 3:14:23. This was ultimately enough for them to secure their victory 6-5.
