& Lindenmuths Goals
The Genesis Hockey Club had a great start to the game against the Toms River Blackhawks, grabbing six goals fueled by Kevin P ico and Donald Lyndenmuth in a 8-1 victory. Not only did the duo score, but they each tallied an assist as well.
The first period was filled with plenty of offense from Genesiss. Cole Pluck made it 1-0 with his first goal of the season before Grady Jones and Aidan Linso connected on a power play goal for a 2-0 lead. William Carpenter and Corey Kosick added goals at 16 minutes and 21 minutes respectively before Pico ended things off with a goal off an assist from Kosick to lead 5-0 after one period.
The second period saw more dominance from Genesis as Lindenmuth got one of his own early at two minutes in, with Kosick continuing his stellar day with another assist. William Carpenter scored two minutes later and then Pico found the net again off an assist from Linso at 10 minutes in to make it 8-0. The lone bright spot for the Blackhawks came via Cole Sturman late in the second before Aidan Linso rounded out Genesiss scoring to finish up the game 8-1.
Largely thanks to their top scorers, Genesis was able to pull away easily with this decisive victory and take home the two points they were looking for!
